Postgraduate Certificate are qualifications at the same level of study as Masters degrees and postgraduate diploma but they are much shorter (made up to 60 credits).

Whereas a postgraduate diploma is made up of 120 credits, a postgraduate certificate is made of 60 credits at same level. These are delivered and assessed through a series of taught modules.

Postgraduate Certificate courses are provided in variety of subject areas such as Arts, Science, Law, Business Administration, Architecture, Education, Music, Health and Social Care, Information Technology etc. These courses are popular with students carrying straight on from their undergraduate degree and professionals looking to improve their CV or change careers.

  • The Minimum entry requirement for Postgraduate Certificate is usually include a Bachelors degree (or its equivalent i.e. Graduate Diploma or Level 6 course) in an appropriate field.
  • Postgraduate Certificate courses provide ideal academic progression where graduates can pursue Postgraduate Diploma (60 more Credits).
  • There are a number of career routes students can take after Postgraduate Certificate qualification such as getting a graduate job or becoming self-employed.
