Postgraduate Conversion Courses

(GDL, PGCE etc.)

Conversion courses are intensive postgraduate programmes that allow individuals to pursue a career that their undergraduate degree or professional career has not prepared them for.

By taking a postgraduate conversion course students will be able to transfer their skills to a new field.

Many students choose an undergraduate degree based on their personal strengths and interests, rather than having a specific career in mind. While a conversion course normally implies a degree that will prepare for a specific career path, many courses could be considered ‘conversion’ in that student will be taking up a new area of study that does not relate closely to their undergraduate degree.

  • The minimum entry requirements for PG conversion courses usually include a Bachelors degree (or its equivalent i.e. Graduate Diploma or Level 6 course).
  • PG Conversion courses provide ideal academic progression where graduates can pursue doctorate level study.
  • A PG conversion course is the perfect way to pursue a different subject and open up new opportunities, including in professional careers such as Law and Teaching.
